Non-Ferrous Recovery Administrator

Job purpose

To ensure collaboration in driving the nonferrous recovery operations objectives towards cost management and operations proficiency. This admin will evaluate new or changing operations, track progress and manage reporting and data integrity. Admin will ensure accuracy of the SAI database and SAI accruals for Non-Ferrous Recovery Operation and track resolution of issues and ensure proper retention and record keeping of pertinent information and documentation.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Data analysis.
  • Daily data input for production.
  • Daily purchase sale and transfers between departments.
  • Daily emails on recoveries to facility managers.
  • Utilizing Excel for various production reports, recoveries, and commodities.
  • Preparing reports for facility mangers utilizing data and software.
  • Working with IT on software and reporting efficiencies.
  • Sampling data spreadsheets.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience – Business administration, preferable in an A/P or transportation role or member of Non-Ferrous Recovery.
  • Experience in the scrap metal or similar industry a plus.
  • Education – bachelor's degree in business administration or finance preferred but not required if candidate has experience and success in a similar position.
  • Self-direction and the ability to search and find direction when needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organized and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to interact effectively across company at all levels and with outside carriers.
  • Analytical skills a must, plus excellent computer skills including Excel, Outlook, and SAI software systems preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills also required.
  • Experience with SAI preferred.
