Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7 PM - 7 AM) with holiday rotation and every other weekend requirement.

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated and experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The RN will be responsible for managing patients with both cardiac and neuro conditions in a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the CVICU, adhering to established protocols and best practices.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and pain levels.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly in the electronic health record (Epic).
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
  • Assist with specialized procedures and equipment as required (e.g., ECMO, IABP).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • 1-2 years of experience in critical care, preferably in CVICU.
  • Valid South Carolina RN license or Compact license.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
  • Experience with cardiac and neuro patient care is required.
