Lead Software Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead on development initiatives, driving architecture design and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, QA, and Infrastructure, to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.
• Lead and mentor developers, fostering technical growth and encouraging best practices across the team.
• Design, document, and implement system architecture to meet business and technical requirements.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvement, including performance optimization, refactoring, and process enhancements.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and improve product quality.
• Act as a key contributor in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Lead efforts in vetting and prototyping roadmap ideas
• Plan and execute code deployments, including critical patch releases
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the team remains innovative and competitive.

Requirements
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with demonstrated expertise in architecture design and system integration.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, or Java, and familiarity with related frameworks (e.g., Symfony, React).
• Proven expertise in database systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or MSSQL.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular and/or React.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable software solutions, including familiarity with design patterns and microservices architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor development teams, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance business and technical priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Earn bonus points by telling us about your experience in the following:

• Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience with build automation, deployment strategies, and related DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with digital advertising platforms or related technologies, such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, etc.
• Experience implementing or maintaining API integrations with external platforms.
