Quality Engineer

I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, the Quality Engineer will support all elements of Quality including Cost of Quality, APQP and RCCA activities of the division's manufacturing group. This person will interact with External Customers, Production and Materials Management personnel, Quality Engineers and the Engineering community to solve quality related issues and quality concerns. This individual will ensures products and processes meet quality standards by designing tests, analyzing data, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions, ultimately aiming for high-quality products and processes.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and procedures.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and analyze quality issues, defects, and root causes.
- Implement corrective and preventative actions to address quality issues.
- Monitor and track key quality metrics and performance indicators.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Support all areas as needed in quality concerns.
- Participate in process design and development activities to ensure quality considerations are integrated.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and reports.
- Document quality issues, corrective actions, and findings.
- Read, understand, and explain blue prints.
- Communicate quality issues and recommendations to leadership. Provide training and guidance to other employees on quality procedures and standards.
- Support the implementation of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF16949, and ISO
- Be a key resource in the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and New Part Introduction (NPI) to the plant.
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
- Travel as necessary for on-site assistance to customers and suppliers as needed.
III. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of Quality or Engineering relevant experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Recent graduate in business related field will be considered
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, methods, and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. (Including blue print reading)
