Senior Accounting Consultant

Sr Accountant Consultant needed to help support a SAP implementation. This is 5 days a week on-site

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Consultant. This role is pivotal in supporting the transition from Sage 500 to SAP S/4HANA, as well as ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and adept at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the SAP S/4HANA implementation team to support the system transition from Sage 500 to SAP.
• Assist with general accounting close activities, including reconciliations, postings, and financial statement preparation.
• Provide audit support, including handling documentation requests and preparing footnotes.
• Backfill accounting responsibilities during month-end close and audit periods.
• Transition into recurring day-to-day accounting tasks starting February to allow internal team members to focus on SAP testing.
• Work extensively in Excel to support reporting and reconciliation needs.
• Participate in conversations with the implementation team and contribute to process improvements.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in general accounting and audit support.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP S/4HANA and Sage 500.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude and willingness to 'roll up sleeves.'
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

The position reports to the Director. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The role involves extensive use of Excel and interaction with both the accounting team and the SAP implementation team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ $62.00/hr.
