Messiah Early Learning Center & Preschool has been a part of the Mounds View community for 50+ years. In the Fall of 2024 Messiah expanded and added an infant & toddler classroom to our program.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Assistant Teachers for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to join our team. Our company is committed to providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children to learn and grow.

As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lead teachers and helping our little ones develop essential skills during the early stages of their development.

Assistant Teachers

Our staff are the heart of our program. We are looking for someone who will be able to create a safe, nurturing environment for our students, and be able to work with our current staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist lead teachers in creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for young children to grow and learn

- Assist with daily tasks such as feeding, diaper changing, and naptime routines for infants and toddlers. Provide additional educational activities for preschoolers.

- Monitor and document children's progress and development

- Communicate with parents about their child's daily activities and progress

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

- Maintain a clean and organized classroom

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children

- Develop positive relationships with children, parents, and other staff members

- Follow standardized operating procedures to provide a quality care experience for each child
