Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop sourcing strategy based on a nuanced understanding of the landscape of automation equipment to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier power and use industry dynamics to Apple's advantage. Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis, trend analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals. Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity. Collaborate across the Apple organization to ensure business objectives are met, including the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy. Optimize supply chain through cost and capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Apple's future product roadmap to optimize cost and sourcing decisions. Provide overall program management support and contribute to ongoing development of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting;. Scope equipment vendors to support geo-regionalization, to ensure that quality and performance criteria can be met. Ensure supplier continuous operations, including manufacturing, machine bring-up and resourcing. Coordinate objectives across supply chain partners, internal functional teams, and time zones. Create best practices to manage the scope of capital equipment, through data consolidation, analysis and visualization. 5-10% International Travel Required. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,200 - $236,700/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. PAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Working with supply chain processes, including supply chain diversification identifying suppliers and risk mitigation in a rapidly evolving geo-political environment.
  • Developing business process solutions within the high-tech industry with a focus on automation of manufacturing processes
  • Leading collaboration between various business stakeholders across multiple time zones
  • Using program and project management skills, especially for New Product Introduction (NPI) with cross-functional engagement to execute objectives
  • Utilizing Excel and Tableau for data management, analysis, and supply/demand planning
  • Using presentation applications for Executive communication
  • International vendor management and escalation skills
  • Using game theory, reverse auction strategies and execution
