Job Title: Winter Contingency Program Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Winter Contingency Program Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the daily

operations of a seasonal program serving up to 40 participants. This role ensures effective scheduling, communication, and support for volunteers and staff, maintaining a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment. The Program Coordinator will serve as the central point of contact for program logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

 Coordinate and manage volunteers and staff, including schedules, assignments,

and training.

 Serve as the primary point of contact for staff and volunteers on-site.

 Ensure the program site is prepared daily to safely accommodate participants.

 Oversee intake and check-in procedures for participants, ensuring proper

documentation.

 Maintain clear communication between staff, volunteers, and program

leadership.

 Monitor program operations, addressing challenges promptly and escalating

issues when needed.

 Ensure compliance with safety, health, and program policies.

 Track program metrics and assist in preparing post-program reports.

 Support participant engagement by fostering a welcoming and supportive

environment.

Qualifications:

 Strong organizational and communication skills.

 Experience coordinating volunteers or managing staff preferred.

 Ability to problem-solve and adapt quickly.

 Commitment to serving vulnerable populations with compassion and

professionalism.

 Familiarity with shelter or contingency programs preferred.

Physical Requirements:

 Ability to be on-site and on call if needed.

 Ability to assist with light physical tasks as needed.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $ $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
