Overview
We are seeking a
National Account Manager
to lead our Walmart business and other key accounts during an exciting period of growth and transition. This role is critical to our continued expansion and will serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart, while also managing new and emerging customers.
The position blends strategic planning with hands-on execution: it will balance analytics, relationship management, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have
proven Walmart experience
(either as a supplier partner or former buyer), strong financial acumen, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Walmart Account Leadership
- Lead all day-to-day account management responsibilities for Walmart, serving as the primary point of contact for merchants and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Deliver accurate SKU-level forecasts in partnership with Supply Chain.
- Track and report business performance weekly using Scintilla, Retail Link, and internal dashboards.
- Own forecast accuracy and provide corrective actions when variances occur.
Account & Business Development
- Manage additional direct retail and made-to-order accounts to drive profitable growth.
- Identify new opportunities within existing customers and categories to expand EM Brands' footprint.
- Build strong relationships with buyers, planners, and cross-functional partners to ensure long-term success.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Build and implement customer-specific business plans that align with EM Brands' overall strategy and deliver sustainable growth.
- Collaborate closely with Product Development and Operations to ensure flawless product launches and on-time execution.
- Partner with internal teams to deliver data-backed presentations and compelling category storytelling.
Financial & P&L Ownership
- Own the P&L for assigned accounts, balancing revenue growth with margin performance and profitability.
- Monitor pricing, promotional investments, and cost drivers to ensure strong financial results.
Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor's degree required - Experience:
Minimum 3 years of progressive account management or buying experience, with
direct Walmart experience required
. - Skills & Competencies:
- Strong financial and business acumen with P&L ownership experience
- Proficiency in Excel and Walmart systems for reporting and analysis
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence buyers/merchants and replenishment managers
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Experience with CRM Platform a plus
- Strategic, results-oriented mindset with high attention to detail
- Strong cultural alignment with company values
