Spectrum for Living is a New Jersey not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping adults with developmental disabilities reach their fullest potential. We provide quality housing, clinical services, and engaging programs in both our Adult Training Centers (Day Programs) and Residential settings. Our mission is to support independence, dignity, and inclusion for every individual we serve.

Position Summary:

The Program Director of Day Program Services is responsible for the overall management, supervision, and quality of operations within the Day Program. The Director ensures that services are person-centered, compliant with all agency and state regulations, and designed to promote growth, inclusion, and skill development for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Day Program, ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all participants.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate program staff to maintain high standards of care and professionalism.
  • Develop and implement person-centered activities that encourage independence, community involvement, and personal achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable DDD, DHS, and licensing regulations, as well as Spectrum for Living policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, guardians, and external partners to ensure effective communication and individualized support.
  • Monitor program budgets, attendance, staffing levels, and documentation for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Address behavioral, medical, and social needs in coordination with clinical and administrative staff.
  • Promote Spectrum for Living's mission and values through leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in the developmental disabilities field, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of DDD/DHS regulations and person-centered practices.
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Schedule:

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
