THE JOB:
As a Slots Guest Services Representative, you are an essential part of guest experience. Your commitment to assisting with property and slot-related questions, machine payouts, and enrollment in the MGM Rewards Program will set the stage for the memories guests can carry with them well past their stay with us. In this role you are responsible for completing required regulatory and federal tax documentation and verifying guest age using government-issued identification, completing all duties in accordance with gaming regulations and property policies and procedures.
THE STARTING RATE: $17.00 plus tips
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Create a welcoming environment by greeting all guests, maintaining a clean, presentable slot area, assisting with slot machine and general property inquiries and delivering personalized guest experiences
- Circulate through assigned sections and respond promptly to slot machine lights and perform minor repairs such as clearing bill jams, resolving printer or bill acceptor tilts, and replacing ticket paper
- Pay slot machine jackpots and completes the required paperwork neatly and accurately, IRS W2G/1042‐S forms
- Enroll guests into the MGM Resorts International Rewards Program following established guidelines and by verifying government issued guest ID, age and using property enrollment devices
- Stay informed of the various types of slot machines on the casino floor to better assist guests in looking for a particular type of machine or denomination
- Maintain awareness on company and departmental news and events to effectively answer guests' questions, and enhance the guest experience by recommending MGM shows, restaurants and attractions to guests
- Monitor for underage gambling and report any individuals under 21 to a supervisor or Security, as needed
- Complies with departmental and company policies and procedures including Title 31
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays is required
