Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Lead Physician and in accordance with standardized procedures, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing primary care to ambulatory patients through regular health assessments and the management of common acute and chronic stable conditions. 

WRMC is looking for dependable, highly enthusiastic, experienced nurse practitioners for FT position. The job requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as a team member. This position is full time. Schedule: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 7 days a week (flexible scheduling available) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Excellence: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based care for acute and chronic conditions
  • Preventive Care Leadership: Implement health screening protocols, wellness programs, and patient education initiatives
  • Procedural Competency: Perform in-office procedures including wound care, joint injections, skin biopsies, and minor surgical procedures
  • Patient Advocacy: Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in clinical quality initiatives, population health management, and practice improvement projects
  • Documentation Excellence: Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Attends staff meetings; follows HIPAA guidelines; follows patient rights policy; complies with the compliance program; demonstrates knowledge of role in a disaster; demonstrates knowledge of fire and fire drill procedures; working knowledge of hospital emergency codes; always utilizes standard precautions in the clinical setting; safely manages the environment of care by demonstrating a working knowledge of the requirements of the: Life Safety program, Utilities Management program, Hazardous Materials program, Emergency Preparedness program, Safety Management program, Medical Equipment Management program, Security Management program. 

Requirements

Required:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Texas
  • National board certification (AANP or ANCC)
  • DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
  • BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in outpatient, family medicine, or urgent care setting
  • Additional certifications in specialized procedures
  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)
