Our elite global Alternative Investment Management client is seeking to recruit a lateral Associate investment professional with private equity or hybrid capital investing experience. The incumbent will work in a hybrid capacity, identifying and analyzing investment opportunities across the capital structure, alternative asset classes, and industry sectors and executing platform strategy vision and long-term business growth objectives as set by the firm's founder, including the buildout of a family office onboarding investment strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyze and research investment opportunities across the capital structure, across alternative asset classes and industry sectors
  • Execute the corporate strategy vision and long-term business growth objectives as set by the firm's founder, including the buildout of a family office onboarding investment strategy
  • Serve as an investment generalist working across multiple investment strategies
  • Analyze incoming deal flow and create presentation materials highlighting investment research and making actionable investment recommendations
  • Perform deal sourcing, valuation analysis, modeling, structuring and due diligence
  • Build complex financial models and perform capital structure analysis and incorporate analysis into business projections
  • Provide marketing and business development support including developing relevant materials and presentations for current and prospective investors and internal stakeholders
  • Provide support to the corporate strategy team and various investment teams
  • Perform ad hoc duties and special projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with strong academic achievement
  • 2-3 years of Private Equity or Hybrid Capital investing experience
  • Keen interest in working in a hybrid investing and corporate strategy role
  • Advanced technical financial skills required
    :
    financial modeling, capital structure analysis, valuations, due diligence, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to serve as a generalist and work across investment strategies and the entire capital structure
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Highly motivated, driven and intellectually curious with exceptional work ethic
  • Team player with the ability to work well independently
