Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Membership Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling memberships to potential customers, ensuring a positive experience that encourages long-term relationships. You will work in a dynamic environment, engaging with customers both in-person and over the phone, while utilizing your sales skills to meet and exceed targets.

The mission of the Personal Training (PT) department is to take every member from the level they are now to the level they want to be - in the fastest, safest, and most enjoyable way. The PT department is comprised of true professionals whose primary objective is to customize workout programs and train our members based on their needs. The PT department has a range of opportunities focused on sales, personal training, and even management functions that'll give you experience interfacing with clients and supporting their training goals.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to promote membership options and benefits
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and advantages
  • Utilize effective upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases
  • Maintain an organized and appealing merchandise display
  • Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory levels
  • Process transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash responsibly
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Maintain knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory management and sales tracking
  • Supervise junior staff as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures

Skills

  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing
  • Experience in retail sales, preferably within a grocery store environment
  • Ability to perform merchandising tasks effectively, creating an inviting shopping experience
  • Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction management
  • Ability to demonstrate products effectively to potential members
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases
  • Previous supervising experience is advantageous for team leadership roles
