Welcome to Love's: The Senior Project Manager, Infrastructure Services, leads complex infrastructure and modernization projects that enable operational excellence across Love's enterprise technology environment. This role manages strategic initiatives involving datacenter modernization, cloud integration, network expansion, and automation.
The position requires a balance of disciplined project management, business acumen, and technology fluency — particularly in leveraging AI-driven insights, automation tools, and FinOps practices to deliver value efficiently. The Senior Project Manager partners closely with technical leads, architecture teams, and leadership to drive infrastructure transformation and continuous improvement.
Job Duties:
Project Leadership
- Lead large-scale infrastructure projects including datacenter modernization, network upgrades, storage migrations, and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Apply AI-assisted project management tools and predictive analytics to improve forecasting, issue tracking, and delivery accuracy.
- Oversee project lifecycles from initiation through post-implementation review, ensuring alignment with Technology Department goals and organizational priorities.
Planning and Execution
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with business and IT leadership.
- Develop comprehensive schedules, budgets, and resourcing plans using platforms such as Azure DevOps, MS Project, and ServiceNow.
Risk and Financial Stewardship
- Partner with FinOps and procurement teams to align budgets and contracts.
- Use AI-driven cost modeling and analytics to improve accuracy of forecasts and identify cost-optimization opportunities across infrastructure domains.
- Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and apply data-driven insights to anticipate delivery challenges.
Stakeholder and Vendor Management
- Coordinate with Infrastructure, Retail Tech, Cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure cohesive execution.
- Manage relationships with vendors to align solutions with Love's architecture standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor offerings using AI-enabled comparison and performance insights to guide recommendations.
Reporting and Communication
- Deliver executive-ready reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar visualization tools to convey progress, risk posture, and financial status.
- Utilize AI-assisted reporting to synthesize metrics from multiple data sources and enhance stakeholder transparency.
- Present project updates to leadership and facilitate cross-functional alignment.
Process Improvement and Governance
- Contribute to Infrastructure Services' project management methodology and governance standards.
- Leverage process mining and automation tools to identify workflow inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
- Support ongoing maturity initiatives throughout the Technology Department.
Leadership and Mentorship
- Mentor junior project managers and project coordinators in Infrastructure Services.
- Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and data-informed decision-making.
- Lead by example in adopting responsible AI, sustainable practices, and continuous improvement mindsets across teams.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred; ITIL or Agile certification preferred.
- AI or Cloud certification (e.g., Microsoft AI Fundamentals, AWS Practitioner, FinOps Practitioner) a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of IT project management experience within infrastructure or technology environments.
- Proven success leading projects involving datacenter operations, virtualization, cloud platforms, or network modernization.
- Experience applying AI tools, analytics, or automation to enhance project or operational efficiency.
Skills and Demands:
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and Office 365 suite.
- Working knowledge of datacenter technologies.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation, cloud management, and AI-enhanced monitoring tools (e.g., ServiceNow Predictive Intelligence, ScienceLogic SL1).
- Understanding of project financials, budgeting, and FinOps principles.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Proven leadership in fostering collaboration and cross-functional problem solving.
- Occasional evening/weekend work may be required to meet deadlines.
