SEO Client Success Manager

As an SEO Client Success Manager of SEO, you play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the activities that align with our company goals of client quality, client retention, and excellent product delivery. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and high-quality execution of SEO services and align tasks and activities with the business objectives. Additionally, you will be managing a dedicated team of analysts and/or content writer(s).
Primary Responsibilities
SEO Product Delivery & Support:
Directly manage SEO strategies and deliverables for key accounts.
Act as the primary point of support for SEO Analysts and Strategists, ensuring they have the resources, tools, and information necessary to execute client plans effectively.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving client-related issues to minimize disruptions and maintain client satisfaction.
Communicate client needs or changes to the appropriate team members to ensure alignment and timely execution.
Remove roadblocks so the team can focus on delivering quality work.
Process Improvement and Schedule Management
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve team processes for greater efficiency and quality.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and ensure alignment with company goals.
Monitor project schedules to ensure all deliverables are completed on time, escalating concerns to the Director of SEO when necessary.
Coordinate with the team to adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively.
Client Issue Management
Serve as the first point of contact for resolving escalated client concerns or feedback.
Collaborate with analysts and strategists to address client questions quickly.
Keep account managers informed to ensure seamless client communication.
Proactively identify and address risks before they become issues.
Training Development and Facilitation
Collaborate with the SEO Director to align training with current strategies, identify skill gaps, and help develop targeted training initiatives.
Support onboarding and ongoing training for team members.
Provide one-on-one coaching to help team members adapt to new responsibilities.
Continuously improve training sessions based on feedback and needs.
Collaboration and Team Support
Work with the Director of SEO to align activities with company objectives.
Promote collaboration by facilitating clear communication across teams.
Share updates, discuss challenges, and ensure everyone stays aligned in team meetings.
Actively seek feedback from the team to identify areas where additional support is needed.
Quality Assurance Audits
Work Audits: Review team deliverables like content updates, technical fixes, and keyword research to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with client goals. Provide feedback to help improve and maintain standards.
Client Performance Audits: Check client metrics (traffic, rankings, conversions, local visibility) to assess the effectiveness of SEO strategies. Identify weak areas and collaborate with the team on solutions.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of audit findings to track progress, ensure accountability, and support process improvements.
Reporting: Share results with the Director of SEO and team members, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in SEO strategy and client-facing roles, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in SEO and similar leadership or client management positions.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush.
Preferred Qualifications:
Agency experience with a track record of managing key client accounts.
Project management expertise.
Familiarity with Automotive, Legal, or E-commerce industries
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
