As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and responding to incidents as needed. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Applicants must have a college degree.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid corrections officer license.
• Must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or possess an associate degree with at least 60 college credits or have a police academy certificate or corrections academy certificate.
• Applicants must possess a valid law enforcement officer license. 
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
