Position Overview

Our Clinical Research site is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated research team. The ideal candidate will support investigational product (IP) management and ensure compliance with clinical trial protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and all regulatory standards. This role is ideal for individuals with prior experience in pharmacy operations within research, long-term care, or acute care environments who are passionate about contributing to innovative clinical studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Investigator and clinical staff with preparation, labeling, dispensing, and documentation of investigational products (IP) in accordance with study protocols and sponsor requirements.
  • Maintain strict accountability, temperature control, and inventory management for all IPs, ensuring full traceability and documentation in pharmacy logs.
  • Follow aseptic and sterile preparation techniques when handling study medications, including IV infusions and injectables.
  • Collaborate with study coordinators and investigators to ensure timely and accurate medication administration during subject visits.
  • Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA, and institutional pharmacy regulations, including investigational drug storage, access control, and documentation procedures.
  • Participate in site qualification, initiation, and monitoring visits to ensure pharmacy readiness and adherence to study requirements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of pharmacy standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to quality assurance initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation of temperature excursion reports, returns, and destruction documentation as applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in a pharmacy or clinical research setting (LTC, hospital, or investigational drug experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of drug handling, labeling, aseptic techniques, and documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial workflows, including IP receipt, dispensing, accountability, and return processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
  • Knowledge of IV infusion preparation and sterile product handling is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $ $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
