Position Overview:

Our preferred client seeks a Mechanical/Controls hybrid professional to join our team in our service department. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in either mechanical systems or controls (with a willingness to develop the other), who thrives in a dynamic environment that blends technical expertise with customer-facing project management and sales.

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-supported team where small-to-medium retrofit and repair projects are sourced directly from our existing client base. You'll be supported by our experienced internal engineering and controls teams, and collaborate with service technicians and other area managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Looking for a Mechanical engineering professional, a TECHNICAL person-with either a Mechanical background and interest in Controls, or a System Controls background willing to learn mechanics of systems.
HVAC
exposure is mandatory. Full training and support provided over 6–9 months. In essence, they are looking for someone who wants to learn to
design, install and commission controls
along with uplifting their skills in doing Technical Sales (via proper guidance and training) to already existing customers with regards to selling and project manage retrofitting, service and controls projects

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical systems OR building controls
  • Strong foundational understanding of HVAC service, repair, and retrofits
  • Willingness and aptitude to grow into a hybrid mechanical/controls role
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client relationship skills

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting or managing controls-related service projects (BAS/BMS)
  • Previous exposure to both mechanical systems and controls systems in commercial environments
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and controls drawings and specifications
