Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical and electromechanical parts, products, and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.
  • Initiate and drive project objectives through careful study of design plans, engineering drawings, and project requirements.
  • Conduct research and apply principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials to develop innovative solutions.
  • Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating task activities, and resolving technical issues as they arise.
  • Develop and test prototypes, designing feasibility and performance testing methods, and summarize key data trends.
  • Improve manufacturing processes by designing and modifying fabrication, assembly, and installation equipment and procedures.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives by applying UL, ISO 9001/2000 standards to ensure product and process compliance.
  • Document and manage product and system databases, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing technical data.
  • Provide engineering expertise in response to internal and customer requests, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams as needed.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing and design experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, with SolidWorks strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electromechanical systems, including thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials science.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with UL, ISO 9001/2000 standards in engineering and manufacturing environments.
  • Operational proficiency with PC computers and relevant engineering software.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience designing equipment or processes for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
  • Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing testing methods and quality assurance protocols.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional activities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in resolving complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with maintaining technical and product databases.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed to perform specific job duties.
  • Experience working within teams to accomplish shared goals.
