Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is looking for a highly qualified, experienced and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of a Senior Software Engineer to support the Web Services Unit (WSU) at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and managing application development projects in support of IT infrastructure. This position requires an Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance, supporting a DOJ FBI five-year contract beginning mid-July 2025. The primary work location is Patriots Plaza in Washington DC (with a possible work location of Mission Ridge in Chantilly, VA upon special request and client approval). Some telework flexibility may be available on a case-by-case basis.

The Senior Software Engineer will develop and implement technical solutions through all aspects of the software development life cycle. This includes integration of third-party components, custom capabilities development, code modification, process improvements, and automation of maintenance tasks. Working at the direction of lead architects, this role will support large-scale data processing, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. The engineer will participate in technical milestone reviews, code architecture sessions, resource estimation, and best practices knowledge transfer.

The WSU provides software development tools and solutions to the FBI workforce to facilitate collaboration and enable rapid response to mission demands. This position supports the FBI's SharePoint environment across enclaves, on-demand SharePoint sites, connectivity between the FBI and DOJ through Bridge and the FISA Management System (FISAMS), and secure intelligence reporting via the Enterprise Briefing System (EBS). The role also involves management of Microsoft 365 Power Platform enabling users to build applications and workflows to improve business processes.

Required Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SharePoint
  • Proficiency integrating third-party components and developing custom capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and advanced analytics
  • Ability to implement process improvements and automation

Preferred Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of FISA Management System (FISAMS), Enterprise Briefing System (EBS), and Bridge connectivity
  • Experience with technical project reviews, code architecture, and resource estimation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and mentor team members

Clearance: 

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance
