The Senior Manager of SCM Operations reports to the Director SCM Operations. This support includes various types of weekly forecasting and reporting to support weekly SCM deliverables.  Additional responsibilities include interacting with customers and preparing product and SKU level analyses for sellout, sell-in, and WOS management.  The incumbent will work with a number of different groups throughout the organization including, but not limited to, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Product Management, Sales and SEA SCM team, and HQ RPM team.

This role will sit in either our Plano, TX or Atlanta, GA office.

  • Support collaborative supply chain planning process by managing and improving system-based tools. Interface with key customer contacts during weekly planning meetings, and as needed.
  • Conduct analysis of carrier sales, inventory, and competitive data to identify trends.  Make recommendations which integrate the analysis into business plans.
  • Maintain database that provides real-time information regarding sales and competitive activity
  • Support Financial planning processes related to the sales team:  Analysis, reporting and data entry (monthly forecast cycle) as well as volume and revenue simulation of promotional cost and business impact. Support additional management activities, as required, to assist others in meeting their deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree with 7-10 years' experience preferably in finance, business, or supply chain management.
  • Experience in the telecommunications and/or wireless industry requiring management of finance, logistics, distribution, program management, and/or business planning, or equivalent work experience in planning, finance, or operations.
  • Must have high competence and experience in developing presentations using a variety of SW applications, including excel and PPT. 

Necessary Skills/Attributes for this position the following skills and abilities must be demonstrated at a proficient level:

  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
  • Experience using advanced supply chain management, enterprise planning or financial planning systems is highly desired.  (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Proven success in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills. 
  • Most important will be strong communication, both written (PPT presentations) and oral skills.
  • The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.  Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. 
  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PCs, printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. 
  • May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule.
  • Travel required 10%-20%
  • Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
