Although MTI began as a tool & die heat treater, the company now offers full service capabilities that include: Vacuum Processing of the Tool Steels, Induction, Carburizing, and Neutral Hardening. Job Summary: Perform functions on incoming orders necessary to get them into processing.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming orders and paperwork and note any discrepancies.
  • Identify order and forward paperwork to order entry.
  • Obtain shop traveler from order entry and locate proper order.
  • Perform part identification procedures by prescribed company methods.
  • Distribute orders to proper staging area for processing.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Assists Supervisor in training functions as directed.
  • Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies.
  • Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work areas.
  • Participates in company sponsored training as required.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Additional Responsibilities: Assists with all shipping duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow directions and work efficiently.
  • Ability to do basic counting and measurements.
  • Ability to operate basic computer functions.

Working Conditions: Office and factory environment, may encounter dirt, dust, oil, processing chemicals and varying temperatures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Considerable amount of walking, standing, and bending.
  • Required to wear safety shoes.

Job status: Full-time with benefits.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
