About the Role

Ben Bellucci Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, versatile, and reliable Multi-Sport Instructor to lead after-school programs for elementary students across Polk County, FL. This role is ideal for an individual with a deep passion for youth sports and coaching, with the ability to effectively instruct in Soccer or Basketball or Flag Football. The instructor will be responsible for creating a fun, safe, and positive learning environment where every child can develop fundamental skills across multiple sports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead age-appropriate drills, activities, and games for programs focusing on Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football.
  • Teach essential sport-specific skills and concepts, including passing, dribbling, shooting, defense, and teamwork, tailored to each sport.
  • Organize and manage small-sided scrimmages, skill challenges, and games to reinforce learning and strategy.
  • Ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Prepare simple, dynamic lesson plans that easily adapt to various sports and age groups.
  • Motivate, mentor, and encourage students through positive coaching methods.
  • Set up and clean up equipment for a variety of sports before and after sessions.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children (teaching, coaching, or mentoring preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge and ability to instruct the fundamentals of Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and leadership skills.
  • Organized, dependable, and energetic personality.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must pass a background check.

Schedule & Pay

  • After-school hours, typically 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 1–5 days per week (schedule flexibility required based on program needs).
  • Each session lasts about 1.5 hours (including setup and cleanup).
  • Pay: $20–$25/hour depending on experience and the number of sports specialization.
