Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, and service, seeks dynamic applicants who can engage and inspire a diverse student body as an adjunct instructor in the Theatre program of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.

This position entails teaching THR 1500 Introduction to Theatre.

Adjunct Instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Qualifications:

Candidates must:

  • Hold a MFA or equivalent in Theatre
  • Have experience teaching at the university level

ADJUNCT FACULTY UNION INFORMATION

On May 2, 2017, adjunct faculty members in the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education represented by the Service Employees International Union Local 1 (SEIU) voted to ratify a five-year collective bargaining agreement with Saint Louis University.

The contract reflects Saint Louis University's ongoing commitment to its faculty, staff, and students. It builds upon the strong foundation established by Saint Louis University while providing the flexibility needed to address organizational and programmatic changes as part of the ongoing operational excellence program.
