Entry-Level Production Estimator Assistant
Scenic Collision and Repair
Pay: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time
Position Summary
Scenic Collision and Repair is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Production Estimator Assistant to support our collision center team. This role is perfect for someone looking to start a career in the auto body/collision repair field. You will assist estimators, technicians, and the production manager in documenting repairs, tracking workflow, and ensuring vehicles move smoothly through the shop.
No prior estimating experience is required — we will train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities Repair Documentation & Photo Support
- Take clear photos of damage, repairs in progress, and completed work.
- Add photos, notes, and documentation to the repair order in the management system.
- Assist with teardown documentation and initial repair needs.
Supplement Support
- Help gather information needed for supplemental estimates (parts lists, technician notes, additional damage photos).
- Communicate repair needs between technicians and estimators.
- Learn the basics of estimating software (CCC, Mitchell, or similar).
Production Assistance
- Track vehicles throughout the repair process and update status boards.
- Communicate delays or needs to the production manager.
- Help ensure the shop floor stays organized and repairs stay on schedule.
Parts & Technicians Coordination
- Deliver parts to technicians or check parts against repair needs.
- Assist in identifying incorrect or missing parts.
- Support technicians with documentation or small tasks that keep workflow moving.
Customer & Front Office Support (Light)
- Provide updates to estimators when needed.
- Help with repair order organization or basic administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- No collision estimating experience required — training provided.
- Interest in automotive repair, body work, or estimating.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable communicating with technicians, managers, and office staff.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk the shop floor regularly.
- Must be able to take photos inside/outside vehicles.
- Occasional lifting up to 25–40 lbs.
