Medical Billing Specialist

Experienced Medical Billing Specialist for Multi-Specialty Physician Network. Strong knowledge of Physician Billing including ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT procedure codes and modifiers (when applicable.) Solid knowledge of working holds, denials and following-up on insurance claims.

· Ability to enter a high volume of charges accurately and in a timely manner

· Experience with charge validation and reconciliation.

· Solid knowledge of insurance and experience navigating insurance company web sites.

· Must be able to work with multiple levels of staff and Physicians within the organization.

· Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure while handling multiple priorities and deadlines.

· Detail oriented and solid problem solving and investigative skills a must

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required.

Experience: 3 or more years of Physician Billing experience. Cardiology experience A+.

Strong communication, follow up and interpersonal skills.

Experience with EPIC and Athena Health Collector software desirable.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment.

Reports to Cardiology Director

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
