Our business is looking for a talented and qualified Logistics Manager to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for all supply chain management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations and logistics employees. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and inventory systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the logistics, ensuring compliance with Company, local, state and Federal policies and regulations

· Ability to ask with and perform all subordinate tasks

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Thoroughly read, understand and follow all logistical requirements as defined in the customer supplied routing guides
  • Determine best shipping method for all shipments
  • Ensure all shipment arrive to the destination on or before the MABD (Must Arrive By Date)
  • Monitor shipping cost across multiple vendors to ensure our rates are competitive
  • Contact Customer carriers to arrange pickup of orders
  • Keep accurate inventory records that are updated daily
  • Maintain good relationships with our freight forwarding companies and customs brokers
  • Manage the relationship, contracts, budget and forecasts for existing and potential 3PL partners
  • Monitor the progress of every shipment from the time it leaves the factories in China, until they arrive in our warehouse
  • Identify any potential incoming shipment delays and report how that will affect our inventory levels and our ability to ship product as needed to our customers
  • Support back office personal when there is an overload of orders to be processed
  • Lead meetings for shipment and container planning
  • Review weekly shipping deadlines to ensure PO's are shipped on time
  • Coordinate with overseas production and manufacturing teams
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to the design and implementation of internal technology for improving sales, operations, logistics, and warehouse
  • Providing advice and assistance to top management in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications to existing operations, systems, and procedures
  • Ensuring effective employee relations; providing employee coaching and development; making employment decisions; resolving employee issues through problem resolution
  • Providing leadership through partnering with cross-functional teams to plan ahead according to sales forecast and performance

Requirements:

  • Directly related management expertise in fiscal services, administration, and human resources gained through either 5 years of equivalent-level work experience or completion of college-level business management certification
  • At least 3 years of additional work experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed on the job description
  • Knowledge of business management principles, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures within specialty area
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
  • Employee development and performance management skills
  • Ability to supervise and train employees including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
  • Ability to develop and prepare comprehensive financial/business analyses
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred.
  • Five years of related experience required.

Pay: $70, $75,000.00 per year
