Production Supervisor Second Shift

Responsible for daily production requirements through management of front line employees. Responsible for visual inspection of line and line efficiency. Ensures documentation is completed accurately. Responsible for employee safety. Conducts line change overs. Verifies employee time clock punches.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
· Oversee the production of the entire floor.
· Manages entire floor
· Ability to perform and train each position on the production floor, up to quality and production standards.
· Responsible for ensuring floor is running green.
· Ensure production meets all quality specifications and standards.
· Responsible for completing employee annual reviews.
· Ensure labor usage meets or exceeds production standards.
· Minimize downtime through equipment knowledge and problem solving skills.
· Coordinate the efficient use of people as the floor starts up and shuts down.
· Keep the production floor and surrounding area clean and well organized.
· Thoroughly conduct appropriate procedures to ensure exceptional quality.
· Ensure floor staffing is working safely and promoting best practices.
· Make minor adjustments to packaging equipment to keep the line running.
· Coach and motivate floor personal to perform above expectations.
· Must be able to create, understand, and complete production, quality and safety paperwork (Pack Report).
· Must be able to achieve an entire shift where all lines meet all safety, quality, production, and social goals.
· Assumes Materials Handler duties, as needed.
· Must be able to effectively use the computer to write floor tools (Rule changes, Spreadsheets to aid in floor needs, Sage requirements, …)
· Must be able retain sensitive employee information to unbiasedly help employees and entire floor
· Must be improving on all above requirements to work towards and achieve Operations Manager Position.

BASIC SKILLS:
§ Ability to coach and train production staff on essential line duties
§ Reasonable understanding of mechanical equipment
§ Ability to make quick decisions on line staffing
§ Well organized, detailed and thorough
§ Ability to learn new operations
§ Good problem solving skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
§ High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required;
§ Warehouse, distribution, production, or manufacturing experience required. Mechanical and forklift operations skills required.
§ Good leadership and organizational skills required.
§ Have or be on the list to get their forklift license
§ Must have leadership training class or experience
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
· Ability to read and write routine correspondence including work orders. Ability to speak effectively with customers and/or employees of organization.
· Must be able to communicate to a wide range of people in different stages of their development to accomplish a specific goal.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
· Must have above average math skills, including the ability to perform calculations involving counting, adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying.
SOCIAL SKILLS:
· Must be able to lead a team environment, numbering from 1 other teammate to as many as 50 other teammates.
· Needs to be able to take corrective criticism and direction from superiors in a collaborative way to accomplish daily goals.
· Must be able to give corrective criticism and direction to subordinates in an appropriate and professional manner.
· Must be able to stand, work, and lead in close proximity to all teammates for long periods of time without issues.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time; use hands to handle, carry, lift or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach and lift with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand; push, pull, walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
