The 
Accounting Assistant
 will be responsible for managing the company's accounting records, handling daily bookkeeping tasks, and overseeing general office administration. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, precision-focused environment. For the right candidate, this role has the potential to grow into a full-time position as the company continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payments, and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and vendor statements.
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Support external accountants during tax preparation and audits.

Office Management

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of the office.
  • Manage office supplies, vendor contracts, and facility needs.
  • Coordinate with leadership to streamline office workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Support HR functions such as maintaining employee records and assisting with onboarding.
  • Organize company documents, records, and compliance filings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or office management (3–5 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks or equivalent) and MS Office (Excel proficiency required).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
