Profile:
As a copywriter in this role you will bring extensive experience across social platforms, broadcast, and performance marketing. You will partner closely with an art director to concept and develop integrated, omnichannel campaigns rooted in cultural awareness and social trends. This position is responsible for guiding creative from initial concept through final execution across a wide range of deliverables.

Given the fast-paced nature of work at Hawthorne—often supporting multiple clients simultaneously—the copywriter must demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills. While copywriting is the core focus, the role values hybrid thinkers who contribute beyond their primary discipline.

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of advertising experience, including 2–3 years in performance marketing.
  • Strong ability to craft creative, versatile copy that adapts core messaging across formats.
  • You're not a yes-person—you can back up your thinking with clarity and confidence.
  • You're a self-starter with an eye for detail and a drive to innovate.
  • You contribute throughout the creative process, from pitching to production.
  • Collaborative team player who brings a positive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Google Drive, PowerPoint, Slack, , and related tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet all deadlines and strategies set by Executive Creative Director
  • Actively participates in creative department meetings, with a commitment to discuss industry news and express new ideas, solutions and honest opinions.
  • Keeps up with trends in the advertising industry with a focus on creative, social platforms and broadcast
  • Works a flexible schedule
  • Provides creative research as required.
  • Concept and develop omnichannel campaign ideas in partnership with an art director.
  • Write compelling, on-brand copy across social, broadcast, and digital performance channels.
  • Translate cultural insights, social trends, and platform behaviors into effective creative concepts.
  • Lead projects from initial ideation through final execution across multiple deliverables.
  • Manage workload across several clients simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain consistency and alignment across campaign touchpoints.
  • Apply strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Completes other duties and projects, as assigned, based on department and/or company needs.

Salary:

Annual salary of $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience
