Schedule: Based on client contact hours; varies week‑to‑week (evenings/weekends common)

About the role:

We're hiring a Showing Assistant to help us get prospective renters/buyers into homes quickly and smoothly. This is a great entry point into real estate with a clear path to more responsibility and pay increases as you gain experience and (if needed) obtain your New York real estate license.

What you'll do:

If you are licensed (NYS Real Estate Salesperson/Broker):

  • Conduct on‑site property showings and open houses
  • Answer basic property questions and collect feedback
  • Coordinate access, lockboxes, and showing schedules
  • Document showing notes and update CRM promptly

If you are not yet licensed (support track):

  • Schedule/confirm showings for licensed agents and coordinate access
  • Meet vendors, place/remove signage, and handle basic field logistics
  • Gather listing info, prepare flyers, upload photos, and keep files organized
  • Shadow at showings for training; pursue licensure with our guidance

What you bring:

  • Customer‑service mindset, punctuality, and crisp communication
  • Comfort traveling across NYC (public transit or your own transportation)
  • Smartphone proficiency (texts, email, calendar, maps, photos)
  • Weekend/evening availability based on client demand
  • Licensed or not — both are welcome (if unlicensed, interest in getting licensed)

Nice to have (preferred, not required):

  • NYS Real Estate Salesperson license (or in progress)
  • Familiarity with NYC neighborhoods and buildings
  • Additional languages

Growth path:

As you master the role, you'll take on more responsibility and see pay increases. Licensed team members can take on full showing/lease or buyer‑client duties; unlicensed hires can transition to licensed roles once they complete the NYS requirements.

Pay & compliance

  • Starting rate: $16.50/hour (NYC minimum) with periodic performance reviews and increases.
  • Hourly, non‑exempt role (overtime per law when applicable).
  • We post compensation to comply with NY's pay‑transparency requirements. Department of Labor+1

Work location:

Field‑based across NYC; reporting to our New York office/manager. In‑person role.
