Technical Sales Engineer

Summary/Objective:
The Technical Sales Engineer is a multi-faceted position that allows the individual to work in several areas of the company from customer support and service. Along with being very hands on as it relates to customer accountant maintenance and product knowledge.
Essential Functions:

- Support role in parts delivery and repair
- Identify areas for improvement and communicate these issues with engineering and production.
- Train customers on technical aspects of our products
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
- Recommend changes or upgrades.
- Work with customers on proto install of products.
- Service product in the field
- Maintenance of accounts in a sales support role
- Train service centers on Airxcel product.
- Notifies supervisor of issues as necessary.
- Work closely with customers on issues they may face
- Follows all safety rules.
- Maintain a clearly organized workspace.
- Performs other duties as requested to full accountability.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse and manufacturing environment, many times the job is completed by traveling to or working on site at the customer location. At other times you will be based in Elkhart at a warehouse. This list is not all inclusive.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to lift, operate equipment, use scanner, phone and computer. The employee may be required to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and may access a variety of spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, bending, stooping and reaching.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 5:00am to 1:30pm
Some overtime may be required.

Frequent local travel
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates or bachelors preferred
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Previous experience with customers, sales and engineering
