Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Property/Community Manager to oversee daily operations of our residential community. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent customer service, and hands-on experience using RentManager property management software. This role is responsible for ensuring resident satisfaction, maintaining property performance, and supporting the overall financial success of the community.

Key Responsibilities

Property Operations

  • Manage all day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Oversee leasing activities, renewals, move-ins, and move-outs.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests, work orders, and vendor scheduling.

RentManager Software

  • Utilize RentManager for resident records, leasing, reporting, and property accounting.
  • Process rent payments, fees, and other transactions through the system.
  • Generate monthly reports, financial summaries, delinquency tracking, and occupancy data.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant and property information.

Financial Management

  • Assist with budgeting, expense control, and financial planning.
  • Monitor rent collection and enforce community policies regarding late payments.
  • Approve invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.

Resident Relations

  • Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with residents.
  • Address resident concerns, conflicts, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Plan and support community events and resident engagement activities.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, state/local regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain leasing files, contracts, notices, and required documentation.
  • Oversee onboarding and training of staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience with RentManager (required or strongly preferred).
  • 2+ years of property management or community management experience.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of leasing practices, Fair Housing laws, and residential property operations.
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Attributes

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Customer-service oriented with a friendly, professional demeanor.
