Associates in Gastroenterology is a well-established, independent, gastroenterology practice with two locations in Colorado Springs, CO. The practice is comprised of 10 full-time Gastroenterologists, along with 8 advanced practice providers who provide expert, efficient and high-level specialist consultation to a wide network of patient referrals.

We are seeking to hire a full-time Hospital-Based Advanced Practice Provider- nurse practitioner/physician assistant to assist with inpatient care.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Conducting inpatient consultations and follow up care for a variety of acute and chronic GI conditions (GI Bleeding, diverticular disease, IBD, liver disease, Esophageal disease etc.)

· Pre-procedure evaluation and instruction as well as post procedure follow up

· Would be covering hospitals in collaboration with a physician at all times.

· Maintaining excellent communication with our physicians, referring physicians, and other consultants.

· Maintaining a strong knowledge base of gastrointestinal conditions and treatment strategies

Skills Needed:

· Excellent independent clinical decision making, while working with all physicians within a team approach framework

· Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to go above and beyond to help patients and other members of the health team

· Superb interpersonal skills- a "people person", empathetic listener, upbeat and articulate with a strong sense of curiosity, desire and drive to learn. Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced setting

Candidate must have:

· Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program with national certification

· NP or PA licensure in Colorado. DEA number (application in progress acceptable)

· One- year hospital experience desired but not required

One-year internal medicine, family practice, or gastroenterology experience

Experience with EPIC desired but not required.

· Background check and pre-employment drug screen will be required

Job Type: Full-time Position, 32-40 hours per week (40 preferred), no evening, no weekend, no holidays. Salaried position (commensurate with experience), competitive benefits package includes CME and malpractice coverage.

Pay: $115, $128,000.00 per year
