Job Title: Mechanic Location: Woodsboro, MD Schedule: Monday – Friday   Company Overview: Ruppert Landscape is a privately held commercial landscape maintenance and construction company based in Laytonsville, MD. With a multi-state presence and a small company feel, our mission is to provide opportunities for our people, take care of our customers, and be good stewards of the environment and our community.   Position Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment, including diesel/gas trucks, commercial mowers, and two-cycle equipment. Candidates with practical experience in these areas are highly encouraged to apply.   Primary Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Perform mechanical work on a variety of assets, including power equipment, mowers, trucks, trailers, and other landscape tools
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop area
  • Ensure consistent upkeep and preservation of fleet vehicles and landscaping equipment
  • Accurately document and maintain service and repair records
  • Provide exceptional internal customer service, prioritizing efficiency, quality, and communication
  • Assist with other operational tasks as assigned
  Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience
  • Must possess a personal, comprehensive set of tools required to perform daily mechanical tasks efficiently and safely 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, especially with gas/diesel vehicles and landscaping equipment
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to supply personal tools as needed for job responsibilities
  • Experience with diesel engines and bilingual ability (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required

Actualmente buscamos un Mecánico motivado y capacitado para unirse a nuestro equipo. Esta persona desempeñará un papel fundamental en el mantenimiento y servicio de una amplia variedad de vehículos y equipos de la flota, incluidos camiones diésel/gasolina, podadoras comerciales y equipos de dos tiempos. Se anima especialmente a postularse a los candidatos con experiencia práctica en estas áreas.   Responsabilidades principales:

• Diagnosticar, solucionar problemas y realizar reparaciones y mantenimiento preventivo en vehículos y equipos de la flota

• Realizar trabajos mecánicos en una variedad de equipos, incluyendo equipo eléctrico, podadoras, camiones, remolques y otras herramientas de jardinería

• Mantener un entorno de trabajo limpio, organizado y seguro en el área del taller

• Garantizar el mantenimiento constante y la preservación de los vehículos de la flota y del equipo de jardinería

• Documentar y mantener con precisión los registros de servicio y reparación

• Brindar un servicio al cliente interno excepcional, priorizando la eficiencia, la calidad y la comunicación

• Ayudar con otras tareas operativas según se asignen   Calificaciones:

• Mínimo de 1 año de experiencia práctica en mecánica

• Debe poseer un conjunto personal y completo de herramientas necesarias para realizar las tareas mecánicas diarias de manera eficiente y segura

• Fuerte aptitud mecánica, especialmente con vehículos de gasolina/diésel y equipo de jardinería

• Actitud positiva y disposición para aprender y crecer dentro de la organización

• Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y organización

• Gran atención al detalle y compromiso con la seguridad y la calidad

• Capacidad para proporcionar herramientas personales según lo requieran las responsabilidades del puesto

• Se prefieren, pero no son requisitos, la experiencia con motores diésel y la habilidad bilingüe (inglés/español)   Lo que ofrecemos:
