JOB SUMMARY

Proactive MD and MAKO Medical Laboratory are seeking a Junior Accountant to support the accounting department by performing and coordinating a variety of accounting activities, including more complex processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role will assist with accounting and reporting processes, coordinate workflow among team members, and ensure the complete and accurate maintenance of financial records. The Junior Accountant will also prepare and compile financial reports, assist with GAAP and regulatory reporting for the assigned business unit or division, and perform related accounting analyses and tasks.

**Ideal candidate will have public accounting experience and/or consolidation and/or partnership accounting experience**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including Multi-Entity Consolidations
  • Help integrate and manage subsidiary accounting operations and staff
  • Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry
  • Assist in providing relevant support for Internal and External Partners (audits, tax)
  • Create and record journal entries.
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions
  • Take part in strengthening our company's established accounting processes and policies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • ERP (NetSuite a plus) experience
  • Proficient in Excel, a must
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
