POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Structural Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role will provide engineering oversight of junior engineers and foundation repair projects, manage project execution, and foster strong client relationships. The Senior Structural Engineer will also play a key role in the rollout of our proprietary SPEKTR foundation inspection app and contribute to the development and implementation of future foundation repair products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engineering Oversight: Perform structural analysis and design for foundation repair projects, including reinforced concrete foundations, structural steel frames, and other structural systems. Provide detailed engineering reports and repair recommendations that meet or exceed code standards.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple foundation repair projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with local regulations. Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, regular project updates, and efficiency reports. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • SPEKTR App Rollout: Collaborate with the development team to facilitate the implementation and adoption of the SPEKTR foundation inspection app. Provide feedback on app functionality, train team members on its use, and integrate it into project workflows to enhance inspection accuracy and efficiency.
  • Future Product Development: Contribute engineering expertise to the design and testing of innovative foundation repair products. Ensure new products align with industry standards and address client needs for durability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Structural Inspections: Conduct thorough foundation inspections, including elevation surveys and forensic assessments, to identify structural issues and recommend tailored repair solutions.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of practical experience in structural engineering, with a focus on foundation design and repair.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license required, with licensure in multiple states preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of foundation repair products, including helical piers, push piers, etc.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical conditions and their impact on foundation systems.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain budgets. Experience with project management tools is a plus.
  • Client Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building client trust and satisfaction.
  • Innovation: Enthusiasm for integrating technology (e.g., SPEKTR app) into engineering workflows and contributing to new product development.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment, with occasional travel for site inspections and client meetings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with mobile app integration or testing in engineering applications.
  • Familiarity with foundation repair techniques, such as helical piers, wall anchors, or concrete epoxy.
  • Prior experience in client-focused engineering firms with a commitment to efficiency and transparency.
