Retention Specialist, Membership Experience
3 days ago
At Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, we believe in the power of every girl. We're not just selling cookies — we're building courage, confidence, and character in the next generation of leaders. Serving thousands of girls across Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, and Howard Counties, we create experiences that empower girls to discover who they are, connect with others, and make a difference in their communities and beyond. Our mission is simple — and extraordinary: to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
As a Membership Experience Retention Specialist, you'll be the trusted connection between Girl Scouts, our volunteers, and the families we serve. You'll nurture relationships, provide ongoing support, and ensure every girl, caregiver, and volunteer feels valued and engaged. Through thoughtful guidance, creative problem-solving, and genuine connection, you'll help ensure that every Girl Scout experience is meaningful, rewarding, and lasting.
This is a people-centered, purpose-driven role perfect for someone who thrives on relationship-building, collaboration, and seeing their work make a real difference every single day.
Empower. Support. Inspire. Grow with Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.

The role offers hybrid flexibility, with specialists spending approximately 60–65% of their time in the field meeting with volunteers, attending events, and supporting members, and the remaining time working remotely or from Baltimore HQ.
What You'll Do
Retain and Engage: Build lasting relationships with girls, parents, volunteers, and community partners to ensure every member feels connected and supported.
Support Volunteers: Provide coaching, training, and resources to troop leaders and volunteers to help them deliver fun, safe, and impactful experiences for girls.
Champion the Mission: Communicate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) and help volunteers understand how to inspire courage, confidence, and character in every activity.

Collaborate and Connect: Partner with colleagues across departments to improve member satisfaction, strengthen retention strategies, and celebrate success stories.
