Job Responsibilities
- Develop cloud architectures, frameworks, standards, governance, and policies for enterprise-level cloud environments.
- Engage with business users and technology teams to understand requirements and design multi-cloud or hybrid cloud solutions.
- Create cloud solution designs that are scalable, resilient, cost-optimized, and secure.
- Document architectural designs, cloud governance frameworks, standards, and implementation guides using tools like Microsoft Visio.
- Assess existing applications for cloud suitability and design migration roadmaps.
- Implement disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies aligned with compliance standards (RTO/RPO).
- Provide technical guidance to cloud engineering teams during design and implementation phases.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates and automation scripts using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices using IAM, RBAC, WAF, Security Groups, NACLs, and encryption tools.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance and costs using tools such as AWS Cost Explorer and CloudWatch.
- Design and manage VPCs, VPNs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, and other networking components for hybrid connectivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network, Server, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Finance, Procurement) to ensure effective cloud operations.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholder engagement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure, networking, and service-related issues using cloud-native monitoring tools.
Job Requirements
- AWS proficiency (6–10 years) – deep expertise in AWS architecture, multi-account management, and governance.
- Experience with Oracle OCI (1–2 years) preferred.
- Exposure to Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid on-premise/cloud environments (4–6 years).
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Networking, DevOps, and Security (4–6 years).
- Understanding of Cloud FinOps and cost optimization (1–2 years).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for documentation (2–3 years).
- Strong understanding of cloud compute, storage, data analytics, databases, and serverless technologies:
- AWS Compute (EC2, Auto Scaling, Batch)
- AWS Storage (S3, EBS, Lifecycle Policies, Intelligent Tiering)
- AWS Data Analytics (Glue, RedShift, Athena, Lake Formation)
- AWS Databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB)
- Serverless (Lambda, Fargate) and Containerization (ECS, EKS, ECR).
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows.
- Strong grasp of cloud security tools and monitoring systems (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Splunk, Chronicle Security).
- Experience with VPC design, load balancing, CDN optimization, and hybrid networking architectures.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification is strongly preferred.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle OCI) are an advantage.
