Mission Statement:

The Clinical Director of Rehabilitation will lead and manage rehabilitation services that enhance patient outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, staff engagement, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of rehabilitation services (PT, OT, ST).
  • Provide direct patient care as needed while serving in a leadership capacity.
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and evaluate therapy staff to build a high-performing team.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets efficiently.
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate quality improvement programs to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, billing practices, and regulatory records.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to advance patient care, satisfaction, and therapy service growth.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning meetings to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, professional development, and innovation among therapy staff.

  • Use performance metrics to assess, improve, and innovate rehabilitation services.
  • Implement quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Current and active license as Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, or Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Clinical experience in a skilled care rehabilitation setting.
  • Proven leadership experience managing therapy teams is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality improvement.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
