Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery (ACPS), a nationally recognized leader in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our Webster, TX location. Candidate must have flexibility to travel to the two other Houston locations as needed. This role may also include occasional float coverage to nearby ACPS offices as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Education

  • Present surgical consent packets and thoroughly review each section with patients.
  • Ensure patients understand procedure steps, risks, and all pre- and post-operative instructions.

Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Obtain and record vitals and medical histories during pre-operative visits.
  • Provide precise wound care and perform suture removal at post-operative appointments.
  • Assist surgeons with in-office procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.
  • Call prescriptions into pharmacies and confirm receipt with patients.
  • Triage patient phone calls, emails, and portal messages, escalating concerns appropriately.

Clinical Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain a pristine, sterile clinical environment with routine room turnover and terminal cleaning.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR, adhering to legal and ACPS standards.
  • Stock exam rooms, manage supply inventory, and perform instrument autoclaving.
  • Uphold ACPS safety protocols, checklists, and quality-improvement initiatives.
  • Represent ACPS with professionalism in every patient interaction.
  • Discuss the full spectrum of ACPS procedures with confidence and clarity, tailoring information to individual patient needs.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (required)
  • Prior clinical experience (required)
  • Plastic surgery experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical support
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Spanish-speaking ability preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Full-time role with benefits eligibility after the standard waiting period
