Job Summary
Comcast is looking for a manager to join the Enterprise Procurement team to focus on Construction Labor Statement of Work review and compliance. This role will work closely with key stakeholders and executive management across HQ, and Regions. The Manager will manage construction labor projects by ensuring Business Partner SOWs are reviewed, approved and comply with existing policies to support HQ and Region needs. This includes strategic alignment of stakeholders, business partner management and review, negotiation and execution of agreements and SOW's. This role reports to the Senior Director Construction Labor, Enterprise Procurement. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to lead through influence previous contract management and procurement experience and strong financial acumen. Key technical skills for the role include supplier management, negotiation skills, and an ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities. An understanding of communications technology, construction, and/or labor services procurement is beneficial.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Manage execution of Statements of Work.
- Management and resolution of exceptions.
- Escalation of BP SOW execution to meet defined SLAs.
- Interface with HQ & Region Leads on priority, scheduling, and status of BP SOW execution.
- Prevailing Wage negotiation with BPs where Comcast rate card does not satisfy prevailing wage requirements.
- Drive strategy alignment and influence decision-making.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies; negotiate favorable commercial and contractual T&Cs.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance.
- Manage internal stakeholder relationships.
- Understand changing market conditions and align/update strategy to meet business needs and mitigate risk.
General Candidate Requirements
- Strong project/program management skills.
- Previous procurement experience and / or supply chain experience.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Understanding of general labor trends and US macro-economic conditions.
- Desire and ability to learn.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience interacting with and presenting to leadership and stakeholders at a variety of levels.
- Ability to deconstruct and solve complex business problems; analyze situations, develop strategies, present & persuade others of strategy, effectively & efficiently execute.
- Ability to pivot/update strategy as requirements and market conditions change.
- Visual analytic skills – translate requirements and data analyses into audience appropriate presentations to recommend strategies and guide decision-making.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree, with 5+ years related experience. Degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain/Operations preferred, but other majors accepted with right work experience.
- Consulting experience, master's degree, Telecom/Cable experience is a plus.
- Highly proficient with Excel, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Financial Analysis and Modeling.
