The Sales Enablement Procurement team brings several traditionally siloed categories of Commercial spend into one strategic family to equip Local and Global Procurement to drive end-to-end value to patients, HCP's and GSK. This category is unique in that it directly touches the end patient, our products, and HCP's. Excelling in managing this space not only protects GSK's bottom line, but enables top line growth through incremental sales, accelerated speed to market and improved patient access. With a rigorous new product launch schedule, now is an opportunity time to drive transformative value for GSK.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Category Strategy Development

  • Creation and ongoing management of the Procurement category strategy for Sales Enablement for North America ultimately delivers the business requirements across assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation.

Procurement Category Strategy Implementation

  • Leverage AI via Procurement's digital tools for sourcing, contracting, and risk identification and management

  • Running competitive sourcing processes (RFP/RFQ/eAuctions) to identify new suppliers and solutions aligned to our evolving business needs

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers that secure favorable terms for GSK in line with the agreed business requirements.

  • Partner with Local Procurement colleagues to execute strategic initiatives.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strategic relationships with GSK stakeholders, to understand business requirements, identify opportunities to create value and to position Procurement's value proposition. Align sourcing strategies accordingly.

  • Lead stakeholder alignment and annual value plan delivery

External Supplier Relationships

  • Lead SRM for key strategic vendors to collaborate on innovative new solutions for GSK

  • Manage key suppliers through a robust performance management process. Ensure supplier performance is understood and measured.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of commercial procurement experience and understanding of the sales category where possible

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Understanding of the link between marketing, sales and HCP engagement

  • Procurement experience particularly with respect to developing & implementing strategies, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management and some experience of regulated environments

  • Experience in influencing strategy and managing across multiple markets.

  • Contracting experience required, including a thorough understanding of contracting fundamentals and experience with contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership and effective communication skills

  • Understanding of Procurement tools / skillset such as sourcing, RFP processes, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review, supplier development and others

  • Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues within a matrix structure, and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change

  • Ability to manage sensitive partnerships, strong influencing and stakeholder partnering skills coupled with excellent negotiation and communication skills

  • English proficiency (written and oral), other language will be a plus 

  • Knowledge of finance (cost benchmark & financial audit with key supplier) and legal matters (contracting)

  • Experience in managing global projects
