Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join its dynamic legal team. Working out of the New Hyde Park, NY, office, the ideal candidate will have strong research and case management skills, the ability to support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, and a proactive mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in all stages of commercial litigation—from case inception through trial and appeal.
  • Draft, review, and proofread pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and evidence.
  • Conduct factual and legal research using statutes, case law, and regulations.
  • Manage and analyze large document productions, including e-discovery.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings.
  • Communicate with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
  • Prepare trial binders, witness files, and exhibits for court proceedings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate (ABA-approved program preferred).
  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, ideally in commercial litigation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state court rules, discovery, and filing procedures.
  • Proficiency with LexisNexis, Westlaw, and e-discovery platforms.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems.
