Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful Part-Time Event & Office Coordinator to keep our operations running smoothly and support our programs and events. This position is ideal for a highly organized professional looking for part-time work during the school year.

Unique Perk: This role is structured with summers off and additional breaks (spring break, winter holidays) to align with a traditional school calendar — making it especially attractive for a parent with school-age children or anyone seeking a more flexible schedule.

What You'll Do


• Coordinate logistics for major events (convention, gala, golf outings, member programs)


• Manage event registration, vendors, contracts, and on-site support


• Oversee daily office operations, records, and vendor relationships


• Assist with invoices, reimbursements, and office systems in partnership with our bookkeeper


• Provide secondary support to the CEO and Board (meeting prep, scheduling, minutes)

Schedule & Hours


• 20 hours per week during the school year (flexible hybrid schedule)


• Requires occasional extended days for major events, including:

- Golf Outing (May)

- Golf Outing (October)

- Build Ohio Awards Gala (mid-November)


• Additional evening receptions or meetings as scheduled

What We're Looking For


• 5+ years' experience in event coordination, office management, or administrative support


• Strong organizational and project management skills


• Excellent written and verbal communication


• Ability to work independently, juggle priorities, and thrive in a small-team environment


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; QuickBooks or CRM knowledge a plus

Compensation


• Hourly rate: $26 – $34/hour (based on experience)


• Equivalent to $27,000 – $35,000 annually (20 hours/week, school-year calendar)


• Summers and school holidays off


• Flexible hybrid schedule
