Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Chairperson of the Building Maintenance committee and in coordination with the Church Office Manager and Senior Pastor, the Facilities Manager ensures that the church's worship space, auxiliary buildings, and grounds are properly maintained, safe, and welcoming. This role involves routine upkeep, preventative maintenance, and timely, high-quality resolutions of facility-related issues to uphold the church's sacred and community-focused mission.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Inspect, maintain, and repair building infrastructure (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting).

· Clean and maintain interior spaces (e.g., sanctuary, classrooms, offices, restrooms, fellowship areas) to preserve a respectful environment.

· Oversee exterior grounds upkeep (e.g., landscaping, parking areas, walkways, debris removal).

· Assemble and stage furniture and equipment for church services, programs, and events; assist in setup and breakdown procedures.

· Inventory, replenish, and monitor maintenance and cleaning supplies.

· Collaborate with contractors or service providers for specialized repairs (e.g., roofing, major electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work).

· Promptly respond to facilities emergencies or urgent repair solutions.

· Maintain facility conditions logs.

· Uphold safety, security, and accessibility standards across all church properties.

Qualifications:

· Prior experience in general maintenance, custodial, or facilities operations.

· Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other building systems.

· Competence with hand tools and basic power equipment.

· Strong organizational skills, coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks and operate with minimal supervision.

· Physical fitness adequate for lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods, ability to access small spaces.

· Dependability, professionalism, and alignment with the church's values and mission.

Work Schedule:

· Full-time, inclusive of flexibility for evenings, weekends, or extended hours to support church events.

Supervisor:

· Reports to the Chairperson of the Building Maintenance committee and coordinates daily activities with the Church Office Manager and Senior Pastor.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $ $27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
