Specialist, Graphic Design – Fast-Paced Production & Template-Based Design
Position Overview
Are you a highly skilled designer who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment? Ricoh is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist with deep expertise in Adobe InDesign and a strong background in magazine publications, grocery circulars, product catalogs, brochures, and in-store signage. This role centers on updating and refining existing design templates to produce high-volume, high-impact marketing collateral that aligns with brand standards and retail objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work quickly and efficiently to update and adapt existing layouts and templates for product catalogs, brochures, signage, and other marketing materials.
- Maintain consistency across multi-page documents using style sheets, master pages, and asset libraries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of updated materials for print and digital distribution.
- Apply expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign, with additional skills in Photoshop and Illustrator, to execute layout revisions and production-ready files.
- Ensure all designs meet brand guidelines, print specifications, and quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Provide design support and consultation to stakeholders, including marketing, merchandising, and retail teams.
- Prepare files for print production, liaise with printers, and review proofs to ensure final output meets expectations.
- Organize and maintain digital asset libraries for efficient reuse and version control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a production design role, preferably in retail, publishing, or catalog environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign is essential; strong working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator required.
- Demonstrated experience working with magazines, product catalogs, grocery store circulars, or similar multi-page, template-driven projects.
- Strong attention to detail, layout precision, and ability to follow brand standards.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-turnaround setting with frequent updates and revisions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with print production workflows and prepress processes.
- Familiarity with asset management systems and version control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Environment
- Office-based role with standard lighting and noise levels.
- Frequent interaction with internal departments and external vendors.
- Physical effort may include walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
