Dental Receptionist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice part time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting administrative functions within a busy dental clinic. Prior dental office experience and familiarity with Dentrix is prefered. The Dental Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth clinic operations and a welcoming environment. Hours are Wednesday 10am-6pm and Thursday 7am-1pm, with flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally with excellent phone etiquette
- Schedule appointments using Dentrix software
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification processes efficiently
- Collect payments, process billing, and handle collections as needed
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including intake forms and documentation review
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and appointments
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is preferred;
- Proficiency with dental practice management software Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and insurance procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 per week
