Position Overview

The Epicor Kinetic Specialist, IT Supportis responsible for supporting and enhancing the company's core business systems, with a primary focus on Epicor Kinetic, BarTender labeling software, REST API integrations, and general IT infrastructure support. This position requires strong technical knowledge across Windows server and client environments, SQL Server, scripting, and enterprise IT operations. The role also shares responsibility (approximately 50%) for frontline helpdesk support, workstation deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, and adherence to cybersecurity frameworks including NIST and CMMC.

Key Responsibilities

Business Systems & Application Support

  • Administer, support, and enhance Epicor Kinetic ERP modules.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot BarTender labeling software and related print automation workflows.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs, ensuring reliable data exchange between internal systems.
  • Create SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting, automation, and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Work closely with internal departments to identify system improvements and resolve operational bottlenecks.

IT Infrastructure & Server Administration

  • knowledge of Windows Server and Windows client environments used in a corporate domain setting.
  • Manage and support Active Directory, Group Policies, Dynamic DNS, DHCP, and WINS when required.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of workstations, and user environments.
  • Assist in the administration of SQL Server, including basic maintenance, backup support, and query optimization.

Helpdesk & Desktop Support (50% shared responsibility)

  • Provide full-tier support for helpdesk calls, including hardware, software, and system access issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain PC workstations, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across a broad range of systems and document resolutions.
  • Ensure tasks are completed thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.

Communications & Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels and external consultants
  • Provide clear written and verbal explanations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT team members to ensure smooth operations and consistent service delivery.

Cybersecurity, Compliance & Documentation

  • Support IT governance activities related to NIST , CMMC Level 2, and internal security protocols.
  • Ensure security policies and best practices are followed across all assigned systems.
  • Assist in internal audits and maintain compliance-related documentation.

Professionalism & Team Contribution

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Act as a role model within and outside the company by maintaining professionalism and integrity.
  • Prioritize tasks based on business needs and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Provide feedback and support for ongoing IT improvements.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Epicor Kinetic, BarTender, and REST API integration strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of PBX systems (Digium/Switchvox experience a major plus).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with network concepts such as VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules is a plus.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and deliver excellent customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $88, $92,000.00 per year
